B.Ed. Course
The District Institute of Education and Training (DIET), Bongaigaon, Assam, began offering a 2-year Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) program in 2018, with an intake capacity of 50 students. This course is approved by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE), under the Eastern Regional Committee (ERC), vide order No. F.No.ER-249.6.17(Part-I)/ID No.-9698/B.Ed/2018/55970, Date: 12-02-2018. The program is affiliated with Bodoland University, Kokrajhar.
Candidate must clear the B.Ed. Common Entrance Test conducted by Bodoland University, Kokrajhar for that academic session.
Eligibility Criteria for Admission:
Candidate with at least 50% marks (in Aggregate) either in the Bachelor’s Degree and/or in the Master’s Degree in Sciences/ Social Sciences/ Humanities; OR Bachelor’s in Engineering/Technology of Bodoland University, or any other University recognized by UGC with specialization in Science and Mathematics with 55% marks or equivalent Grade Point are eligible for admission to the programme.
A candidate securing 50% marks (or equivalent Grade Point) or more in the Honours/Major subject but less than 50% in aggregate (or equivalent Grade Point) in all the courses/papers of the Bachelor’s degree will not be eligible for admission to B.Ed. programme, as the requirement is 50% marks (or equivalent Grade Point) in the aggregate.
